An advisory has been issued this week by the FBI and CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency). This advisory (link provided below) is not the result of a direct cyber threat, rather it reminds and warns us about the increased potential for ransomware attacks during holiday weekends.

This advisory provides a list of actions that can be taken to protect against the spike in ransomware attacks. Some of these actions include:

  • Backing up your data offline
  • Never click on suspicious links or emails
  • Keep your software up to date
  • Use strong passwords

Our IT Department invests heavily in delivering the highly secure products, services, and 24/7 system monitoring that you’ve come to expect, and this investment extends to communications such as this which are meant to serve as another layer of defense against cybercrime.

Please be safe and have a great holiday weekend.

Thank you,

Our IT Department
